John Ross is currently Lord Lieutenant of Wigtown and also Chairs the Board of Transforming Health and Social Care for Wigtownshire
He was previously Chairman of NHS Dumfries and Galloway and during that time was also involved in changing the way people in Scottish prisons health is delivered. He has also had experience in farming politics and financial services organisations.
He still lives on the farm near Portpatrick and is involved in the farm business
